Finance Manager - Capital
As the result of a promotion, we have the opportunity to recruit a new Finance Manager with responsibilities for the co-ordination of the authority’s capital programme. This role reports in to and supports the Corporate Finance Manager, and is based at our Warwickshire County Council Head Office, in the heart of Warwick town centre.
Operating at strategic, leadership level, this role will give you team management responsibility and the unique opportunity to work with all the authority’s services and external partners to ensure the effective use of our capital resources. Overall, your aim will be to deliver the most successful, efficient and financially viable services providing sound governance and ensuring financial accountability.
Experienced in operating in a complex finance environment, you are integrity led, customer and solution focused. Confident to navigate intricate detail whilst not losing sight of the bigger picture, you are not afraid to raise challenging views in a tactful and sensitive way. You are regarded as a trusted advisor to both internal and external stakeholders.
If this sounds like you, and you:
- Are CCAB qualified.
- Build working relationships that are underpinned by trust and collaboration.
- Are able to effectively influence, negotiate and take control.
- Are analytical, yet translate complex theory and data in straightforward, easy to digest ways.
Then we would like to hear from you. Experience within local authority finance and accounting would give you a good understanding of our current operating models and practices, but it isn’t essential.
