HAITI | Volunteer Accountant @ Org. Encouraging Collaboration| 1-3 Months
Our partner aims to serve as a bridge between international and local organisations in order to help them better achieve their objectives.
They were originally established as an emergency response organisation following the 2010 earthquake that devastated Haiti where they provided aid and assistance. They are now transitioning into a development organisation and serve as a co- working space for local organisations providing them with workspace, meeting space, internet and other tools to aid their work.
Your role will involve undertaking an assessment of their accounting and financial management systems, processes and controls and making and implementing recommendations for best practise.
They have also asked for support and training on developing an annual budget and producing financial statements which will ultimately enable them to apply for grants from larger funders. The board and senior management are also very keen to receive training on financial management. In the future, they would like to transition to Quickbooks.
Our partner will be able to provide accommodation, breakfast and dinner at their compound and offer a monthly stipend.
