In this high profile role reporting directly to the Director of Resources, you will lead a small team which deals with all accounting, budgeting, procurement and treasury management services, including payroll and creditors.
Working in a similar role and with demonstrable post qualification experience, preferably in local government you will be a qualified accountant with up to date knowledge of Local Government Finance and Procurement, including Legislation, best practice and accounting developments. An excellent communicator, with a good working knowledge of the full Microsoft Office suite as well as experience of specialised financial software you will be able to interpret complex financial information and produce and present reports within strict deadlines to Senior Managers and Elected Members.
