Two Local Residents needed by Police
The Police and Crime Commissioner and the Chief Constable wish to recruit a Chairperson and a new panel member for their Joint Audit, Risk and Assurance Panel (JARAP).
This independent Panel has an important role to play in helping to ensure good quality, good value local policing in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
In a time of unprecedented change and austerity, the need for effective risk management, strong governance and prudent financial administration has never been more critical.
Members of the Panel advise the Police and Crime Commissioner and Chief Constable on the effectiveness of measures in place to deliver efficient, value-for-money policing. It is expected that the Panel will meet five times a year at Police HQ and training will be provided.
Applicants must live or work within the Leicestershire Police geographical area, CCAB or an equivalent accountancy qualification is desirable.
For more information, go to www.leics.pcc.police.uk/Vacancies or call 0116 229 8980.
Closing Date for Applications: Noon on 5 July 2017.
Shortlisted applicants for the Chairperson role will be invited for interview on Tuesday 1 August, and for the Panel Member role on Thursday 3 August.
The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner and Leicestershire Police are committed to the principles of Equality, Fairness and Diversity, and we welcome applications from all sections of the community in our efforts to recruit a diverse and flexible workforce that reflects the region we serve.
