An NHS Foundation Trust is currently on the search for a Finance Manager to come and join one of their busiest directorates. The Trust currently boasts a large turnover of over £1 Billion per year and provides both specialist and general healthcare to a large population of patients across London.
This is an exciting time to be joining this Foundation Trust as they play a significant part in their local Sustainability Transformation Plan and should have some interesting pieces of work come out of it. The Finance Manager will be the engine of the finance directorate, providing strategy and support to the divisional Finance Business Partners and the services themselves.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing financial information, advice and support to your directorate, meeting regularly with the members of the management team to ensure that the financial position is understood
- Providing the Senior Finance Managers and Finance Business Partners with the relevant information so that assurance can be gained that all relevant costs, income and financial risks within the directorate are reported
- Supporting with the planning and coordinating the annual budget setting process for the directorate
- Developing and maintaining an integrated financial performance report and coordinating the monthly reporting and analysis
The successful applicant will be a CCAB-qualified accountant with at least one to two years post-qualification experience. You will come from the NHS, wider public or commercial sectors. Applicants will strive to meet deadlines by setting and negotiating priorities for themselves and their teams. Your attention to detail and your verbal and written communication skills will be outstanding to a range of stakeholders and you will be able to convey complex finance information to non-finance managers.
