Cambridge City Council and South Cambridgeshire District Council agreed in January 2017 to set up a Shared Internal Audit Service. We are looking for an ambitious person to lead the new service and shape the programme of work across two progressive and growing authorities. With several shared services in place and more under development, new opportunities through devolution, innovative models of investment and a great location there is a lot on offer and scope in the role. You will lead a skilled and knowledgeable team and an audit service that is well respected across both authorities.

You will provide strategic and operational leadership for the service, ensuring the efficient and effective use of resources and the development of the existing team members to realise their full potential. Delivering cross-cutting audit strategies to streamline existing audit processes, you will deliver best practice, ensuring that there is a culture of continuous learning and improvement throughout the two councils.
